Contrary to the newer PowerMacs ("MDD" and "FW800"), this one is pretty much silent. It doesn't have any of the problems people have been experiencing with newer machines (as explained in details on http://www.g4noise.com). Therefore this model is the only option if you like silence in your office or your recording studio.
